A Pocket of flowers, a little shabby.

Hi, thought this week i would make a pocket from a piece of cardboard, distress it, paint it and add faux stitching. Really like the idea of using rubbish to make something lovely.

ingredients are;
The flowers are from an indigoblu stamp, summer lovin, stamped twice, once in black then the other with gold embossing powder. Fussy cut all of them out and the bee, paint with Maya Gold light gold and gold, shape with a ball tool. Liquid pearl in the centre then a gem.
Canvas card for the background with treasured gold around the edges.
Pocket has been cut from cardboard, torn, painted with chalk paint, distress vintage photo on the edges and faux stitching
Florists natural fibres coming from the pocket.
Flowers 3d onto pocket and card.
5x7 card.

Hello
Wanted to share a canvas i made on Saturday with Fran from Prima.
We used lots of prima products and Fran showed us step by step what to do, but then she left us to use whatever we wanted and to plan our design ourselves.

So pleased with the results, i really love it.

MDF Book with Secret Draw, Mixed Media Project with Lindsay Mason.

Hi Everyone, just thought i would share a workshop make, as had a really busy week at work and no time to craft.
Had a lovely day with the talented Lindsay Mason.
At Daisys- http://www.daisysjewelsandcrafts.co.uk
We made this book with a secret draw.(its mdf)
Lindsay showed us how to make it and off we went to decorate as we wished.
I used lots of embellishments from my stash, that i had been saving for a worthy cause.

I really love the way it turned out.
The textures of old pages of books make it look leather.
The Maya Paints have the most lovely colours, the hard part was choosing which colours to use, and of course my favourite gold from treasured gold.
I also added gems and sparkle, as its a must for me.
Now looking forward to the next workshop.

Thanks for visiting.xx
